What was the purpose of this site?
Originally, the site was created to provide simple news links for every teams. However, from there it kept growing with more information. Eventually, I found a yearning for player contract data and free agent information so I could call up Kevin Towers and let him know what to do with my Padres. Unfortunately, several sites that had provided this information had untimely disappearances, never to be found on the internet again. So, I slowly kept finding new information on my own and piecing it together from all over the internet, magazines and newspapers to create what you see now. This site is not only for me, though, but for the benefit of fans throughout the world from Japan to Austalia to the United States.
When was this site created?
It was created during the summer of 2003.
How often is the site updated?
It is updated on daily basis sometime in the late afternoon or early evening (Pacific time).
Why the long page load times?
Images can slow down page load times and thus this site is best viewed with a combination of a gecko-based browser such as Mozilla's Firefox or an alternative browser like Opera and a Cable, DSL or Broadband. Our server is also shared with several other sites so stress on the server may also delay page loading times. Thanks for your patience and cooperation.
Where is the contract information from?
Contract information has been compiled from information from SportsTicker, the Associated Press and other Wire Reports. Additional information is added from reputable internet media sites and newspaper articles. If you notice or hear of a clause in a player's contract, that I have not mentioned, then please let me know for the benefit of others.
